Rebuilding your Home…… Restoring Your Life

What separates us from the rest is our compassion to the people behind the job and the dedication the project manager gives to ensure the quality of life.

When fire strikes it is not forgiving, everything in its path is wiped out; your structure, furniture, art work, photos, mementos, heirlooms, clothes, shoes, toothbrush, toiletries…..your life. Everyday need and comfort wiped out of your life in a matter of minutes.  Depressed and helpless feelings are natural reactions to a family overcoming the struggles of a loss.

A whole new struggle is sure to follow. I had a Dr.’s appointment this week, the car needs inspected, where do I live, meals for my family, work, soccer practice for Jim, and Dance class for Jen? Jim does not have his soccer shoes anymore; in fact the whole closet of shoes is completely burned. This is just one example of many bumps in the road a family will come across in the fast paced time consuming lifestyle that we as Americans lead today. Without a home and your belongings a dizzying stress is created.

Our project managers and staff are on the job constantly until the job is completed. We will get the shoes for your feet, make living arrangements, have your toiletries delivered to you before you even feel with out, help organize your time and life in the most comfortable way possible until your home is back in move in condition. Our goal is to take as much of the stress off your shoulders and take responsibility for them.

We become your family and your partners. We walk through the house with you helping you reconstruct your home into inventory sheets for insurance purposes. Packing- out items restorable and non restorable, taking special care of items that are special to you. Wedding rings, photos, any property with sentimental value will take top priority and be returned to you as quickly as possible………Restoring your life.

Customer Story
Jodie was at work on July 31 when she got the emergency call. It was her 16-year-old daughter, Riki, and she said the garage was on fire.

“My husband, Rich, and I talked to our kids all the time about what you should do in case of fire,” recalls Jodie. “We went over escape routes a million times. But I couldn’t wait to get there and touch my children’s faces to be sure they were okay.”

Back at the house, Jodie’s daughter, Riki, and her 13-year-old brother, Richie, were having their own struggles. After frantically trying to get the flames under control with a small fire extinguisher, they realized it was too much for them. They grabbed the family’s two dogs and ran out the front door.

By the time the North East, Pa., volunteer firefighters arrived an unforgiving wind had taken the blaze from the detached garage across a wooden fence to the house, engulfing the attic and second floor bedroom. Once the fire mixed with the gasoline stored in the garage, it became so hot it sucked water out of the next door neighbor’s above-ground pool and melted parts of it.

The firefighters saved what they could, but in the end, the Turris lost their garage, kitchen, two bedrooms, laundry room and attic. The cause of the fire was electrical.
“I don’t remember a lot from that day, but I can tell you that the community was there for us from the beginning,” says Jodie. The morning after the fire, Carl Good of Advanced Drying and Restorations, fleet, and staff were ready to work, and guide her through the process of restoring her home.

Everyone was there for me, Carl Good was the biggest help of all,” says Jodie. “the restoration contractor who would rebuild our house as well as arrange for a cleaning  that would eventually clean and return 7,589 of our personal items, including restoring my husband’s prized baseball card collection.”

“Firefighters salvaged my wedding rings, wedding album, and my Erie Insurance 20-year service anniversary ring,” says Jodie. “Carl was able to restore them and bring them back to life. I truly believe I have found a friend for life.”

Renovations on the Turri house are scheduled to be complete the week before Christmas. “Carl promised me that Santa will come down my chimney this year, and I believe him.”
Jodie was in fact in her home for Christmas. Advanced Drying and Restoration was there to bring her and her family a Christmas tree and wish them a happy holiday. It was a truly touching and rewarding experience for us all. It takes you a step back from your own life and really appreciate what you have.

Jodie’s Testimonial
"A fire loss is a very devastating catastrophe.  Until it happened to my family I had no idea what to do or what to expect.  When Chris and Carl showed up at our home early the next morning, little did we know how much of an effect they would have on our lives.  As lost as we felt with the devastation we were experiencing, they never let us feel like there was no hope to put our lives back together.  Through the entire phases of rebuilding our home and our lives, they were there by our side walking us through everything.  We never had to worry about what our next encounter would be because they always let us know what was happening.  Carl made us feel as though we were the only important ones.  He was always there for anything we needed, any questions, any concerns we had.  We really don’t know what we would have done if Chris and Carl did not show up at our doorstep the day after our fire.  There is no one around like Advanced Drying and Restoration.  They make you feel like you are family, like you are the only ones that matter.  They rebuilt my home and most of all my family’s lives have been put back together.  It may be their “job”, but, they make it so much more.  My husband and I will be forever grateful for everything our Advanced friends did for us.  These friendships will last a lifetime."
